According to a Facebook post, Cineworld Weymouth will shut on the 30th of December, following the landlord rejecting proposals.It follows 25 years of movie screenings at the chain cinema.People have taken to social media to complain that the town is going downhill, having lost the bowling alley and the town's main soft play. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the "enemy will pay a price" after the Hamas militant group launched a surprise attack this morning.

Israel's national rescue service reports at least 22 people have been killed and the health ministry says over 500 have been injured in Israel.

The numbers make the operation the deadliest in Israeli territory in years.

Murder investigation underway after Woman found dead in Blackpool

Officers were called to a report of an unexpected death on Redcar Road in Blackpool just before 11 am on Thursday, September 21st.

Police attended the scene and found a woman in her 50s had passed away. She's now been identified as Alison Dodds.

The force have confirmed her death is being treated as suspicious, after a post mortem discovered she suffered multiple injuries.

Patrols in the area have increased following this discovery, to alleviate concern.

Multiple fire crews have been working through the night at a large barn fire in little Torrington in North Devon.

Six fire engines, a water bowser and an incident command unit were called to attend the fire at 6pm last night

Horses and small animals have been removed from a nearby stable to a safer area, due to the radiant heat.

The fire involved agricultural machinery, hay, and a small area of asbestos sheet roofing.

September means that school is back in session, and the results are in for the South West's best universities- according to The Times' Good University Guide, with three of our universities being rated in the top 20 in the country!

Four arrested over cannabis farm warehouse in Exhall

Four men have been arrested after a raid on a large scale cannabis farm in Exhall yesterday.

The total street value of the cannabis being grown at the location was just over 1.2 million, including both plants growing and cropped product.

Dangerous weapons were also found at the address.

The cannabis farm was operating out of a warehouse unit on Bayton Road.

The Whitworth gallery has over 60,000 works in it’s collection, some of which are from 1470 and relate to queer culture..
